T-Mobile chooses WPP as its new creative agency
A team made up of agencies Ogilvy, VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, all part of the WPP network, will work for the magenta client. The decision on the winner of the five-month tender for the new creative agency, which the media reported as the tender of the decade, was announced on Monday 27th September.
As Marketing & Media wrote, WPP's team of 30 agency representatives from Ogilvy, VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson outperformed its competitors in all seven areas evaluated.
T-Mobile's cooperation with the WPP Group officially begins in January 2022. "We are celebrating and looking forward to the perseverance and many months of enthusiasm of the entire tender team. The desire to present the best of what we can do was at its highest throughout the five months and T-Mobile gave us many opportunities to show what we are made of with the rigours of the tender. I am very happy that it worked out, it is a huge motivation for everyone," adds Ondřej Obluk, CEO of Ogilvy and VMLY&R, who led the tender team.
