Centropol appoints Ogilvy for creative and strategy

Centropol, the largest independent energy supplier, has chosen Ogilvy as its advertising agency of choice. The relationship, which officially begins on 1 June, will focus on brand strategy and complete creative solutions for the brand.

The main objective of the long-term cooperation is to implement the communication strategy of the Centropol brand, consolidate its position among the top six energy suppliers on the Czech market and expand its customer base. Ogilvy will provide integrated marketing services for Centropol, from brand strategy and campaigns to communications support for acquisition and retention activities.

"We were looking for a long-term partner, so the selection process was very complex. Part of the brief was to develop a communication strategy including creative solutions. All the agencies we approached approached the tender in a responsible manner and we greatly appreciate their work. To ensure maximum objectivity in the evaluation of the work, we used standard testing methods. The new agency will already be working on a communication concept with an original and recognisable creative, which Centropol will present at the turn of the summer and autumn. By winning the tender, Ogilvy is expanding the scope and volume of its existing cooperation with Centropol to include advertising expertise. Centropol has been cooperating for a long time with Ogilvy's PR department and WPP agencies Mindshare (media buying and planning) and H1.cz (online advertising and social networks).
