Cannes Lions: Cuba and Lucía in Wonderland

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is a magical place where the most creative minds from around the world gather every year. But among the world's leading creatives, there are also many like us who found ourselves here thanks to a good idea, a drop of luck and a sea of support, write Jakub Wija, PR Assistant Ogilvy, and Lucía Vítová, PR Executive Ogilvy, in the introduction to their article.

After winning the Czech round of the Young Lions competition in the PR category, Jakub and Lucía went to the Cannes Festival of Creativity with financial support from Ogilvy, where they also took part in the international round of Cannes Young Lions. They wrote about their experience of the festival and the 24-hour challenge for Marketing & Media.

"We got to know the festival from different angles, as we competed in the PR category of Cannes Young Lions 2023, in addition to attending the lectures. After a while, the competition returned directly to the festival programme, so the assignment was worked on in the middle of everything. In our category we met 54 other communication enthusiasts. In the run-up to D-Day, we had the opportunity to be inspired by speakers from all over the world, such as SS+K's Executive Creative Director Stevie Archer, who, together with Soyoung Kang, CMO of eos, gave us '10 tips to survive this year's competition'.”
